The narration
One day in the past, a man caught himself articulating a thought. A perfect thought. A sublime dream: “The Magic Place”. From that instant, in the mind and heart of that man, not an hour of darkness or light passed, in which that dream did not come back alive. More and more obsessive. More and more likely. Thus, the dream assumed the substance of imagination. Imagination translated into desire. And desire, finally, overwhelmed impediments and skepticisms. And it became seed. Seed of creation. That dream, which today is as indomitable and rampant as the best known horse in the world, is called "Ondarossa". And despite this, the man from whose thoughts it sprang and became reality, Pierantonio Giussani, has never stopped dreaming.
The philosophy
Ondarossa is not simply a museum. Ondarossa is a real philosophy.
Inducing people to become truly aware of being Italian. In every single moment. Discover why, for millennia, this magical land has produced intellects, products, art and foods of a completely different level than in any other area of the world. Ondarossa is an exhortation to proclaim one's Italian spirit with absolute pride.
The spaces
Divided into more than one room, it houses unique cars, including Ferrari, Maserati, Lancia, Alfa Romeo and much more. But also collections of automotive magazines, faithful and prestigious scale reproductions, works of art, objects full of history and the rigorous reconstruction of environments imbued with Italy and the "Family".
Rarities
Historic and austere, sporty and colorful cars. prototypes. Maquettes. Frames. Engines.
Here, among the others, some cars will stand out in particular, thanks to their load of history and the coefficient of uniqueness.
In fact, it will be suggestive to sit down for a few moments precisely where personalities such as Vittorio Emanuele III, Queen Elizabeth II and countless other heads of state and powerful of their time sat, for institutional reasons.
The calls
Car only? Certainly not. Faithful reconstruction of ancient family environments. Linked to the Italian tradition and to the very idea of the domestic hearth.
Ondarossa, in its vocation to rediscover the Italian spirit, offers unsuspected corners where, with a glance, you can savor ancestral sensations and intimate warmth for one or more instants.
The collections
Along the magical journey inside our museum, it will be possible to come across surprising collections. From magazines, all scrupulously archived and preserved for almost 70 years, to scale reproductions and models unobtainable elsewhere. Equipped with technical and historical information. Priceless, then, is the feeling you get when, glancing at photos of cars from half a century ago, you find instead the very soul of Italy of those times.
The exceptions
To break the paradigm, violently, some pearls, come from afar. And they will make you think: why, in fact, among so many Italian flags, non-Italian cars and rarities should be right here? Because here, where Italy's enormous artistic, costume and cultural heritage is celebrated, the link with the rest of the world becomes overwhelming, since no country, like ours, has ever managed to influence the trajectory of all humanity. Cars that have won everything, driven by Italians. Others that belonged to foreign celebrities, used on purpose for lukewarm Italian stays and much, much more to constitute the necessary and flattering term of comparison.
